BACK ZIP-DATACENTER™ ZIP-DATACENTER is a back-office system that is designed to calculate zip code mileages for large quantities of batch zip codes. ZIP-DATACENTER is intended to work in conjunction with other corporate systems in order to provide correct zip code mileage calculations. It is a non visual system that is run by schedule or some other back-end batch process that will feed the mileage results into another back-end process. An ideal situation for ZIP-DATACENTER could be a payroll process where mileage may be re-imbursed. A batch of zip codes would be served in as a batch file through a beginning process, ZIP-DATACENTER would crunch through the input and send the results to the payroll processing system, which would then cut the checks/reports for the resulting mileage. ZIP-DATACENTER is designed to process extremely large input files in a quick timeframe, which is more than enough to supplement a corporate data processing center.
